Despite difficulties in animating shot four, I see no future difficulties in creating the backdrop for the shot. Simple tests using online images near perfectly captures what I envisioned for the shot for weeks now.
I was able to achieve this test shot by looking up images of Antarctic mountains and flat lands on Google and then combining them with stock images of power lines as seen with the two images below.
Then I added the three Godzilla’s on top of the image and I must say personally, I really enjoy the sense of scale. Not everyone may see it but I get a good sense of how tall these creatures are. That image can be seen at the top of the post. I am confident that this shot will be completed soon and may be one of my favorite shots of the animation despite the difficulties getting there.
