For today’s WordPress post I am going to analyze each photograph and try and detail what was done right and what could have been done better. Most of the photos I cannot re shoot due to the unique circumstances that surrounded the taking of said photos. Let’s start off with the fear photo.

For starters the clarity of the details of the doll can be enhanced GREATLY. Perhaps positioning the doll in a different place would have worked better. Perhaps a place that would be difficult to get a doll up to or a place where a doll should not be located to enhance the “dear” of the photo. Other such details such as other items next to the doll could probably be removed as they can distract, and make the frame feel less empty.

For me, the intention behind the photo was fine but to the average viewer it may not be. Firstly the angle at which the photo was taken MUST be improved as it is at a rotated position and is not centered or aligned correctly. Secondly the image quality is not the best. The faces in the upper left corner are hard to make out thus making the emotional connection of hope more difficult to obtain.

With this photo, I personally can’t find too much to complain about. The subject in the photo connect to one another. Example when you first look at the picture your eyes may be locked onto my head in the far left, but then travel to my arm to which the subject is now my grandparents as they “air hug” me back. Thus taking the viewer on the journey of the photo. The colors are vibrant but not too vibrant. Contrast is good, things are clear and in focus. I personally at least think this is a good photograph.
