For Day 2 I was to shoot some abstract photos based on the inspiration that I gathered from yesterday’s portion of the assignment. I took many pictures and as the prompt says, I will show the three that I am most proud of. I’ll additionally explain what each photo is of for clarification…
This photo is of a foam Iron Sword from Minecraft I have laying in my room. I thought the pixels/ squares offered an interesting look especially with the contrast of the grey and white.This is a photo of tree branches from a tree on our sidewalk. I thought that with the street lamp illuminating parts of the tree, it would give the color and contrast unique looks. Additionally, the branches look like hands. reaching downwards which for me painted a very creepy yet interesting image.This is a photo of our basement stairs. With out using perspective and cropping filters, I could not get this effect. I like how at the bottom the color is dark, only being outlined by the sine of the light, and as you look upwards the image brightens up in series of stages. The wooden texture also added a very satisfying texture and look to the overall image.
