Photography Option 1 (Day 3)

For my last Photography post I’ll be analyzing my previous three photos and presenting you with three more photos with more examination…

Taken from a Minecraft foam sword, the contrast between all the shades of grey and the fine detail presented with the close up image make this (personally) a well taken photo
This photo was taken of a wooden door, up close to show the detail of the cracks and crevices in the splintered wood. I feel like this could have worked better perhaps in a black and white filter
I enjoy this abstract photo due to it being undefinable at first but on closer examination it can be revealed as to what is is. But with the image being intentionally flipped, it still feels different from what you know you are looking at.
This one I liked playing around with the contrast and different colors to create a crisp image. It does not have a specific focal point allowing the viewer a wide range of options to look at.
This one is my favorite. The texture and the perspective and scew change of the image makes it pop, especially with eh brightness and darkness change from top to bottom.
The texture, different shades of grey, and the unknown-ness of what you are looking at makes this a interesting image to look at. You on’t know if you are looking at carpet or wood.
  • How did this week go for you? – It went alright. Obviously had trouble with the Adobe exams which put a considerable bit of stress on me. In terms of assignments and drawing it went relatively well.
  • Do you have access to Adobe Creative Cloud – Indeed
  • What did you work on this week? – This week I finished Photography Options 1 & 2, while also working on my giant JR Year drawing late into the night.
  • What problems did you have? – Problems I guess would include staying on track in some instances but that was quickly repaired by getting to the assignment or drawing and making as much progress as I could given the time.
  • What will you work on next week?  – Definitely the JR Year drawing to be sure. I’ll also be doing my portfolio presentation Monday and the rest of the week I may float around on some assignment options to wrap up the year.
